The 2016 Metal Hammer Golden God Awards took place on Monday night at the legendary Eventim Appolo (formerly the Hammersmith Appolo). Rock n Roll Cocktail was on hand to capture it all; from the arrivals on the red carpet to the award celebrations backstage. While the awards were, of course, a big part of the show, the highlight of the night for me came in the form of a headlining set from Saxon who would be joined by the surviving members of Motorhead to play a blistering tribute to the late great Lemmy,
Check out shots from the arrivals below, followed by the big winners of the night, and finally some shots from the incredible headlining performance that shook the very foundation of the Appollo. Lemmy was indeed smiling down from heaven during this celebration of all things rock n roll. What a night.
