Eighteen Visions tore through Obsession at the Kentish Town Forum like no time had passed. The crowd was ready from the first note of the title track, fists up, voices already gone.
“I Let Go” and “Crushed” hit with the same punch they had in 2004, tight and relentless. James Hart sounded incredible, his vocals slicing through the chaos while the band locked in around him. “Bleed by Yourself” and “A Long Way Home” brought the melody, while “Waiting for the Heavens” and “Tower of Snakes” had the floor moving like it was a hardcore show in Orange County.
They dug deep too. “Vanity” was pure venom. “The Disease, the Decline, and Wasted Time” from XVIII fit perfectly alongside the old stuff. “She Looks Good in Velvet” gave everyone a breather before the chaos kicked back in, and when Cameron Miller joined for “Motionless and White,” the roof nearly came off.
No gimmicks. No nostalgia act. Just a band still sharp, still stylish, still heavy as hell. Twenty years later, Obsession hasn’t aged a day — and neither have Eighteen Visions.
